Prof.Dr.Öner Gedikoğlu was born in 1945 in the market. He graduated from Ankara Gazi High School in 1962 and started to Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in the same year. Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 1968 and entered Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology as an assistant.

Military service; He worked as an Orthopedics and Traumatology specialist in Samsun Etimesgut Military High School for two months between 1 July 1975 and 31 September 1975.

 After military service; Between 1976 and 1977, she worked as an assistant in clinical and experimental pathology units at the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital in London, London and took part in some clinical and experimental research projects.

She became Associate Professor in Orthopedics and Traumatology Department in Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine on April 26, 1978.

He was appointed to Samsun Ondokuzmayıs University School of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology, which was founded at Hacettepe University on January 4, 1979. As the head of science, science has been established and made it work. In this institution; He worked as Hospital Chief, Faculty Board Member, Faculty Administrative Board Member, Institute of Health Sciences Institute and University Senate Member.

He was appointed as a Professor of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Uludağ University, Faculty of Medicine, on 29 November 1985. He served as the Head of the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences. He served 14 years as the head of Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology and left the university on 20 March 2000.
